Founded by Matthew Valenti, a U.S. Air Force veteran and lifelong tradesman, Blue Collar Up was created to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of skilled workers. With nearly two decades of hands-on experience in the utility and energy industry — from lineman to electrical engineer to business owner — Matthew saw firsthand how skilled labor not only builds communities but transforms lives.

After years of working in the field, managing large-scale energy programs, and eventually owning multiple HVAC franchises, Matthew realized that the greatest challenge in the trades wasn’t just finding work — it was finding purpose, pride, and growth. Blue Collar Up was born from that mission: to help hardworking men and women grow in skill, mindset, and success both on and off the job site.
